Happy Fourth!
(I found this picture on my city's website. The family pictured is NOT my family.)
The city I live in (a suburb in a larger metro area) is VERY patriotic. The high school's school colors are red, white, and blue. There is a 4th of July celebration (lasts 3 days!) every year, which includes a carnival, street dance, bike and running races, a ginormous parade, and much more. The parade usually lasts about 2 hours. I thought you might like to see some pictures...
Waiting for the parade to start
Hooray! It's coming!
Hubby and the Princess, watching the parade
A rare photo of Blondie with the Prince and Princess
The Prince enjoying a carnival ride
I decided last night that my kids NEEDED their very own reusable candy bags for the parade today. We went to the fabric store and they picked out their fabric- all their choice, not mine- and I whipped up a couple of bags last night. They are about 12" square and were perfect today! Trying to get a good picture of both of them with their bags wasn't quite so easy.
