Yay! (Almost) Accomplishment

I have finally done some sewing! I really can't remember the last time I actually did any sewing, so I've been super excited about this. I just have the final border to do for my block for Rita, but I'll be doing some ripping tonight before I finish it... I made a little uh-oh.

It's still in progress, but here's a sneak peek:

I did add some fabrics from my stash (all the greens are mine), and I really hope that Rita likes it!

If you read many quilting blogs, you might recognize the block. It was heavily inspired by these blocks that Helen has been making... aren't those gorgeous!?!

  1. I love what you've done! It looks amazing, and yes those blocks are gorgeous! Can't wait to see the finished block :)

  2. Wonderful sneak peek! The angled squares look really cool! I too can't wait to see it when you're done!

  3. very cool! i've been admiring helen's work too.

  4. that block is amazing, blondie! i hadn't seen that other blog before; thanks for introducing me to it. i love the punch of the solid orange and yellow on the innermost square. i can't wait to see the final result!

  5. Hi Blondie! Great work on your block! It is adorable and I love the rotated squares inside. It really catches the eye!

  6. Blondie! Wow! I have inspired some blocks! Yours look great! Isn't it such a cool block? :)

Blondie spoke... now you speak.

It's nice taking turns.

Have a great day!
